Who knew popcorn could be so special? 

We make our Indian-spiced popcorn by hand in Portland, Oregon using the finest ingredients. We start by air-popping organic, non-GMO corn. To create our distinctive savory-sweet-spicy flavors, we add authentic Indian spices, such as turmeric, mustard seeds, cardamom and garam masala to just the right amounts of mindful, non-hydrogenated oils and sweeteners, such as pure organic coconut oil, high oleic sunflower oil and organic coconut sugar. The result: an all-natural, whole-grain, fiber-rich, gluten-free, delectable vegan/vegetarian snack that’s truly special and highly addictive—in a good way!

Wherever Neha Patel went, her mom’s care packages of     traditionally spiced popcorn à la India’s popcorn-walah street vendors followed, always earning rave reviews and prompting hankerings for more from Neha’s friends. So after a 15-year career in sustainability, Neha decided to help save the planet in a different way—by making popcorn that makes people happy. Enter Masala Pop, established in 2011 using Neha’s mom’s original popcorn recipe, Savory Masala. True to its name—masala means a mixture of spices used in Indian cooking, and there are so many delicious ones—Masala Pop comes in an assortment of flavors.

At Masala Pop, we’re committed to making not only people-pleasing popcorn, but also a difference in the community and for our planet. We support local community efforts through in-kind donations, fundraising campaigns and volunteerism; in our operations, we follow sustainable practices wherever we can.
